Preston Fast 5 Road Race

On June 16, 2027, runners will gather at the University of Lancashire Sports Arena in Preston for a fast and flat 5K race organized by Preston Harriers. This no-frills event offers participants three laps around an accurately measured 1-mile cycle track, ensuring a smooth run without tight corners or traffic interference.
The evening features two races: Race 1 starts at 7:00 PM with a limit of 70 entries for runners aiming to complete the course in under 18 minutes. Following closely behind is Race 2 at 7:30 PM, accommodating up to 90 participants who may take longer than 18 minutes.
Race numbers are available starting from 5:45 PM on race day and can be collected directly at the Sports Arena, which also provides toilet facilities for runners. With no prizes awarded, this event is purely about achieving a fast time in an ideal setting designed to showcase individual speed and endurance.
Participants aged 16 or older by June 16 are eligible to enter; however, entries must be made online before race day as there will be no on-site registration available.
