Swim - Preese Hall (21/12)

Dive into a serene morning at Preese Hall Farm, located in rural Fylde, for an invigorating open-water swim on December 21, 2026. The picturesque lake offers calm waters that are chest-deep for most of the route, with shallower edges near the banks and slightly deeper areas towards the far right. Wetsuits are optional but recommended due to winter temperatures; tow floats are compulsory for safety.
The farm setting provides a tranquil backdrop, though participants should be mindful it remains an active working environment where dogs are not permitted. After your swim, warm up by the log burner in the gun room next to the toilets. Post-swim refreshments and camaraderie await at Woody’s Café nearby, located on Mains Lane.
Changing facilities include vehicles or the use of the open courtyard for those who prefer privacy. Tow floats will be available along with supervision and safety provisions throughout your swim. Access to Preese Hall Farm is via secure gates; enter a code provided in final instructions upon arrival.
For public transport options, catch bus route 76 from Blackpool–St. Annes or bus routes 75 from Fleetwood or Preston at designated times for the closest stop outside the Army Camp.
Join this peaceful and scenic swim event to experience rural Fylde’s natural beauty firsthand.
