Bum Run Halifax 2027

Join Bum Run on May 16, 2027, for an engaging and meaningful 5K walk/run event that raises awareness about colon cancer screening and prevention. Since its inception 16 years ago, this charity race has raised over $2.2 million to support research, patient care programs, and public education efforts in Canada.
The scenic route through Halifax offers participants a mix of urban paths and waterfront views, making it an enjoyable experience for runners and walkers alike. The event starts with the Little Bums 500M run at 8:40 AM for children aged 12 and under, followed by the main 5K race beginning at 9:00 AM.
Registration includes a finisher medal and personalized fundraising page to help you make an impact beyond your steps. RunNS members can enjoy a special discount on their entry fee with a promo code distributed through RunNS. The event is part of the prestigious Run Nova Scotia Road Race Series, adding extra value for participants.
On race day, warm-up sessions begin at 8:30 AM and 8:50 AM respectively for Little Bums and the main run. Participants can use an open-air baggage check service to store their belongings during the event. Although water is not available along the route, refreshments will be provided post-race.
Awards are presented starting at 8:40 AM in the Awards Tent, recognizing top performers from various categories of the race. Live results for all participants can also be accessed online immediately after completion. For safety and assistance, a medic on-site and another with a bike along the course ensure that help is readily available.
Join Bum Run to support an important cause while enjoying Halifax's vibrant atmosphere and scenic trails.
