RUN/WALK for Government United Way 2026

Join the RUN/WALK for United Way on November 26th and lace up your sneakers for an afternoon of community spirit and fitness. The race kicks off at noon from TUNS Gym on Morris Street, setting participants on a scenic route through Halifax's vibrant neighborhoods.
The course begins with a steady climb up Morris Street before descending down Queen Street to South Street. Participants then make their way to the picturesque South Park, where they will turn onto Young Avenue and enter Point Pleasant Park for a brief loop around its lush trails. The turnaround point offers runners stunning views of the surrounding greenery as they prepare for the return journey.
As you retrace your steps through South Park back towards Morris Street, the finish line at TUNS Gym awaits, marking the end of an approximately 5K route filled with landmarks and natural beauty. With a $25 participation fee, this event is not only a great way to support United Way but also a unique opportunity to explore Halifax's diverse urban landscapes.
The race concludes by 1:30 pm, providing runners ample time to reflect on their efforts while enjoying the camaraderie of fellow participants and supporters.
