On Saturday, January 30, 2027, the Fish Hoek Athletic Club invites runners of all levels to participate in the Timbercity Red Hill Marathon and Classic. The event features three distinct distances: the full marathon (42.2 km), a challenging classic run (36 km), and a shorter challenge race (13 km). All races start at 5:00 AM for the marathon and classic, while the 13-kilometer challenge begins at 6:00 AM from Fish Hoek Sports Fields.
The course winds through scenic coastal areas of Cape Town, offering runners breathtaking views of the ocean and the iconic Red Hill. Runners are encouraged to embrace sustainability by bringing their own reusable cups or water bottles for refills at designated hydration stations throughout the course. Race day registration is available from 3:30 AM until race start times, but pre-race packet pick-up ensures a smoother morning on event day and offers an opportunity to win prizes.
The Timbercity Red Hill Marathon & Classic promises not only a competitive challenge but also a celebration of community spirit with lively support along the route. Whether you're aiming for personal bests or simply enjoying the scenic beauty, this race is sure to leave lasting memories for all participants.
