Swim - Preese Hall (01/01)

On January 1, 2027, embark on an invigorating New Year's Day Swim at Preese Hall Farm in rural Fylde. The lake is calm and welcoming, reaching only chest depth for the majority of its length, with shallow edges near the banks. Participants will have sole access to this serene spot, ensuring a tranquil start to the new year.
Wetsuits are optional but recommended, while tow floats are mandatory due to safety regulations. Brightly colored swim caps enhance visibility in the clear water, and bobble hats provide warmth during colder months. The lake's floor is peaty, adding a unique character to this natural setting.
After your refreshing dip, warm up by the log burner located in the gun room next to the toilets. This cozy space offers a welcoming atmosphere for post-swim relaxation. Nearby "Woody’s Café" at Koi Pool Water Gardens provides an additional option for refreshments and conversation.
Facilities include changing areas near the lake or inside the gun room, where participants can enjoy hot drinks they bring along. Tow floats are available on-site if needed, alongside supervision and safety provisions from experienced staff throughout your swim.
To reach Preese Hall Farm in Weeton (PR4 3HT), follow clear signage upon arrival at secure gates with entry codes provided for access. Public transport options include bus routes 76 and 75, which stop near the camp but require a walk to the venue.
