Round Sheffield Run: Winter

The Round Sheffield Run - Winter Edition invites trail runners to embrace the chill and beauty of winter in Sheffield with its unique multi-stage format. Set against the backdrop of crisp mornings, potential snowfalls, and challenging terrain, this one-day endurance race is a thrilling addition to any runner's calendar.
Taking place on January 9th, 2027, participants can expect an engaging course that winds through some of Sheffield’s most scenic trails and green spaces. The event features 11 timed stages covering a total distance of 24.5 kilometers, with the competitive portion totaling 20 kilometers. Each stage is distinct in its challenges, offering runners a variety of terrain including hills, mud, and possibly snow.
Despite the potentially cold temperatures, the race atmosphere remains warm and welcoming. The event includes heart-warming amenities such as mulled wine and a heated marquee to keep participants cozy between stages. A vibrant social scene awaits at the finish line with a Thornbridge Beer Tent, wood-fired pizza, and BBQ for post-race celebrations.
Entry is available both individually and in pairs, ensuring that runners can choose their preferred challenge level. Elite runners who meet specific qualifying standards will start early on January 9th, while others have multiple start times to choose from between 08:30 and 10:30 AM. Each 15-minute time slot is limited to 300 participants.
The unique format of the Round Sheffield Run allows runners to tackle each stage at their own pace before regrouping with friends or teammates in designated areas, creating a friendly and supportive environment throughout the race day.
