About the Event

Immerse yourself in the historic charm of Slaithwaite as you embark on an endurance challenge that traces the route of the Huddersfield narrow gauge canal. This unique race takes runners through a series of locks and along a tunnel, once bustling with the passage of canal boats. Choose from several distance options tailored to athletes at various levels of fitness, ensuring there's something for every runner.
The event offers stunning views of the surrounding countryside as you navigate this picturesque course, immersing yourself in the local heritage and natural beauty. Upon crossing the finish line, participants are greeted with a commemorative medal and refreshments to help replenish your energy after an exhilarating run.
Registration takes place at the Slaithwaite Community Centre, where limited parking is available nearby. To align with environmental sustainability efforts, runners are encouraged to bring their own reusable cups for hydration stations throughout the route.
