Rishton 'Santa Dash' 10k & Reindeer Run 2k

The Rishton 'Santa Dash' is set to bring festive cheer and spirited competition to the streets of Rishton on December 13, 2026. This annual running event features two main races: a challenging 10k course that winds through the town and alongside the picturesque canal, as well as a family-friendly 2k Reindeer Run.
Participants in the 10k race can expect to encounter varied terrain including roads, paths along the canal, and scenic routes around Rishton. The event is designed for runners of all abilities who are looking for an exciting challenge on a crisp winter day. For those with four-legged friends in tow, both races welcome dogs to join their human companions. Dogs must be kept on lead throughout the event and can even participate in a special prize category for the first dog to cross the finish line alongside its owner.
Adding an extra layer of fun to this already spirited race is the option to dress up in festive fancy dress costumes. Prizes will be awarded to the most imaginative and creative participants, making it not just about speed but also style.
The event takes place at Roebuck Inn on High Street, Rishton, Lancashire (BB1 4JZ), starting promptly at noon. All finishers receive a memento of their accomplishment, while donations made during registration go directly to the UK Boston Terrier Rescue charity.
