Australia Day Triathlon

On January 26, 2027, the Fremantle Triathlon Club invites triathletes of all levels to participate in its annual Australia Day celebration. This year's edition offers three distinct race formats designed to cater to both seasoned athletes and newcomers alike.
The Sprint event challenges participants with a 750-meter swim, followed by an invigorating 21-kilometer bike ride, concluding with a 5-kilometer run along the scenic coastal paths of Fremantle. The course weaves through picturesque landscapes, offering stunning views of the coastline and providing ample opportunities for competitors to showcase their endurance and speed.
For those looking for a more relaxed experience, the Fun event is perfect. This shorter version includes a 400-meter swim, a 7-kilometer bike ride, and finishes with a leisurely 2.5-kilometer run. It’s an ideal choice for beginners or families who want to enjoy the camaraderie of the race without the pressure of high competition.
The Sprint (Team) event provides a unique twist on traditional triathlon formats by allowing teams of three to tackle the same distances as in the individual sprint category, but with each participant completing one leg of the course. This collaborative effort fosters teamwork and mutual support among teammates while still adhering to the rigorous demands of the race.
Each event promises an exhilarating blend of water, land, and road challenges set against the backdrop of Fremantle's vibrant community spirit on Australia Day. Whether you're a seasoned triathlete or new to the sport, there’s something for everyone at this invigorating celebration of athleticism and camaraderie.
Participants can look forward to an event that not only tests their physical limits but also immerses them in the festive atmosphere of Fremantle on one of Australia's most celebrated national holidays.
