TRAIL DE NOEL

On December 13, 2026, runners are invited to the festive Trail de Noël – Quimper, organized by Quimper Athletics. This second edition offers two thrilling courses: a shorter 6km Sanitherm trail and an extended 16km Volkswagen route, both set in the scenic Corniguel area south of Quimper, between Kerogan Bay and the Odet River.
The course is known for its challenging terrain, featuring muddy stretches, steep hills, sharp turns, and quick descents. Runners will navigate through technical paths winding through lush forests and along picturesque waterways. The varied landscape offers stunning views from verdant woodlands to sweeping river panoramas.
Participants can expect an engaging mix of the camaraderie found in cross-country events with the adventurous spirit of trail running. This unique event promises a memorable pre-Christmas experience for all footrace enthusiasts.
Race day starts at 9:45 AM for the shorter Sanitherm route and 10:15 AM for the longer Volkswagen course, both beginning from Corniguel. Runners should come prepared with their own supplies as there is no official race provision. Post-race amenities include on-site changing facilities and a restaurant.
Registration fees are €8 or €14 via Klikego, and dossiers can be picked up at Cuisinella Quimper from December 11 to 12 between specific hours or directly at the Corniguel venue on race day. Teams participating in the corporate challenge should specify their company name upon registration.
After crossing the finish line, stay for additional activities like cheering on young racers and athletes competing in the Cross du Quimper Athlétisme event. Encourage carpooling to reduce your carbon footprint while enjoying a fun-filled morning of athletic spirit and community bonding.
