About the Event

On December 6, 2026, the Brest Goélopeurs association will host the fourth edition of the "Défi de Kervallon" race in Brest's Cavale Blanche district. The event features two timed road races: a 5km course and a more challenging 10km route.
Race packets can be picked up on Saturday, December 3rd from 2 PM to 6 PM at the Carrefour shopping center or on Sunday morning starting at 8:30 AM at the Cavale Blanche sports complex.
The 5km race begins at 10:15 AM and is open to U14/benjamin runners born in 2013 and earlier, while the 10km event starts at 11:00 AM for participants aged U16/minimes or older (born in 2011 or before). Additionally, free children's races will take place from 9:30 AM onwards with distances tailored to various age groups.
The Défi de Kervallon is a charitable event supporting the Food Bank of Finistère this year. The race course combines urban and natural landscapes, featuring a unique loop that is nearly flat but includes many hills for an elevation gain of about 70 meters per lap. Participants in both races will experience thrilling ascents and descents throughout their journey.
The 10km runners complete the challenging circuit twice, with special recognition given to those who excel on the climbs through individual rankings and a podium ceremony for top climbers. A "Grand Défi" category rewards participants who compete in both distances.
Musical entertainment is scattered along the route to keep spirits high as racers push themselves towards the finish line.
