The Safari Sprint

Join us for the Safari Sprint, an inclusive and welcoming race that caters to all levels of fitness. Whether you're a seasoned runner or just starting out, this 7-hour Time Challenge offers flexibility with distances ranging from a minimum of 3km up to ultra marathon lengths.
Scheduled for Saturday, January 9th, 2027, the event kicks off at 9am sharp in Staines, conveniently located near the River Thames. Participants will enjoy running along scenic paths and tarmac routes that offer both beauty and ease of navigation. The course is fully marked to ensure a smooth experience even for first-timers.
Members can look forward to exclusive benefits such as discounted entry fees up to £10 off and guaranteed race spots, plus they receive a mini-medal pin at every event attended. UK Athletics affiliated club members also enjoy an additional discount of £2 on their registration fee.
The Safari Sprint features themed animal medals for all finishers who complete the minimum 3km distance. For those aiming higher, there are special pins available to commemorate achievements from half-marathon distances upwards (15 miles or more).
Upon crossing the finish line, runners will be rewarded with a selection of goody bags filled with treats and snacks, including vegan options for dietary preferences indicated during registration.
Aid tables stocked with refreshments await at strategic points throughout the course. These stations provide an array of drinks and savoury sweets to keep you fueled as you navigate through your chosen distance.
If this event marks a significant milestone in your running journey – be it reaching 50 marathons or any other notable achievement – please inform us ahead of time so we can celebrate with personalized recognition on race day.
Participants will find basic toilet facilities available at The Last Hop, though there are no dedicated changing rooms. For parking convenience, Bridge Street Car Park offers ample space nearby for those traveling by car.
Race day instructions and number pick-up details will be communicated via email a week before the event date to ensure all participants have everything they need to know ahead of time.
