As the year draws to a close, join us for our grand finale at The Last Hop in Staines. This unique 7-hour Time Challenge offers you complete control over your distance and pace along a scenic stretch of the River Thames. Whether you're an experienced runner or just starting out, this event welcomes all abilities including walkers. Members enjoy exclusive benefits such as discounted entry fees—up to £10 off—and guaranteed race slots. Plus, members receive mini-me medal pins at every event they attend. The course winds through well-maintained paths and tarmac with a brief grass section, ideal for road shoes year-round. Safety is paramount; the route may be adjusted based on health and safety reviews closer to the event date. Key turn points are marked at 3km and 5km intervals within each lap, ensuring compliance with UK Athletics distance rules. Finishers who complete at least a half marathon (21.0975 km) receive exclusive pins commemorating their achievement, available for distances including half-marathon, mega-half, marathon, ultra, and the challenging 50km option. Upon crossing the finish line, you'll be greeted with goody bags filled with snacks and treats—vegan options are also provided. A well-stocked aid station at the start/finish offers a variety of beverages and energy-boosting snacks throughout your run. If this event marks a significant milestone for you, such as reaching 50 or 100 races, let us know to receive a personalized running number with your name and date inscribed on it. Facilities include toilets at The Last Hop venue; however, there are no changing rooms or showers. Downstairs bathrooms provide ample space for quick changes if needed. Parking is available nearby in Bridge Street Car Park (TW18 4TP). Headphones are allowed during the race to help set your pace and keep you motivated. We encourage all participants to be mindful of other path users as our event takes place on public footpaths.
