Join the 10th Anniversary celebration of Slay the Dragon Trail Running Festival from June 25-27, 2027, nestled among the stunning peaks of SilverStar Mountain Resort near Vernon, British Columbia. This milestone weekend offers a blend of challenging trails and breathtaking scenery across three distances: a grueling 50 km race, a formidable 25 km trek, and a scenic 13.6 km course. Each route features technical single-track paths, flowing forest trails, steep climbs, long descents, and panoramic views that will leave you breathless.
On Saturday, June 26th, the youngest trail runners can take part in Slay the Baby Dragon Kids Race, a fun-filled 2.5ish km out-and-back event on Cross Mountain Trail, complete with cheering crowds and finisher medals for all participants aged 0-12. The following day, Sunday, June 27th, marks the Dragon King & Queen Vertical Climb, an intense ascent up Comet Express ski slope featuring 480 meters of elevation gain over approximately 1.4 miles.
This year’s festival promises more than just racing; it includes a vibrant athlete expo, post-race recovery areas with massage services, and finish line celebrations complete with BBQs, beer gardens, and live music to help you unwind after your efforts on the trails. Early registrants will receive an exclusive 10th Anniversary hoodie, while all participants can look forward to custom race bibs, professional timing, fully stocked aid stations, and a memorable medal upon completion.
