ROTHER VALLEY REMEMBRANCE DAY TRAIL RUNS 2026

Immerse yourself in the serene beauty of Rother Valley Country Park near Sheffield this Remembrance Day, as we host our WILD Trail Runs. This year’s edition offers runners three challenging courses: a scenic 5km loop suitable for those over 11 years old, an undulating 10km route recommended for participants aged 15 and above, and the brand new Half Marathon trail run designed for athletes 17 and older.
The event takes place on Sunday, November 8th, with start times at 9:30 AM. The day will include a moment of reflection as we observe two minutes of silence at 11am in honor of Remembrance Day.
Participants can expect to traverse the park’s winding trails that lead through peaceful woodlands and picturesque lakeside paths, away from the usual Parkrun routes. Each course offers unique terrain with varying elevations, providing an engaging experience for all levels of runners.
Upon crossing the finish line at Rother Valley Country Park on Mansfield Road, Sheffield (S26 5PQ), athletes will be rewarded with a bespoke event medal and exclusive Wild Deer merchandise such as socks or buffs. Refreshments including snacks and drinks are also provided to help participants refuel after their run.
For those looking for an extra touch of memorabilia from the day’s events, T-shirts can be added to your registration at £14.00 each.
Please note that parking is available on-site but must be paid for via ticket machines upon arrival.
