Leopard Trail Hike 6 Day 5 Night - 15 December 2027

Embark on an unforgettable 6-day adventure through the rugged wilderness of South Africa's western Baviaanskloof, part of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Cape Floral Region. This guided slack-packing tour offers hikers stunning vistas and pristine landscapes as you traverse high plateaus, hidden kloofs, and dry riverbeds between the Kouga and Baviaans mountains.
The trail is known for its profound silence and sparse human presence, punctuated only by sightings of elusive leopards whose tracks occasionally grace your path. Despite their rarity, knowing these majestic cats roam freely adds an element of enchantment to each step you take.
Your journey begins with two nights at the charming Red Cliffs Farmhouse in Cedar Falls Base Camp, where you can explore the scenic Cedar Falls kloof on Day 2 before embarking fully onto the Leopard Trail. Each day is filled with up to 19 kilometers of hiking through varied terrain featuring steep climbs and descents over rocky paths.
Comfortable accommodation awaits at each campsite, offering glamping huts with bunk beds, central kitchen facilities, braai areas, flush toilets, hot showers powered by solar or gas energy, and refreshing mountain-fed splash pools. The entire trail is exclusively booked for your group, ensuring an intimate and personalized experience as you relax after a day of hiking.
The tour includes airport transfers from George Airport on December 15th and returns to the same location on December 20th, providing everything needed for a stress-free adventure in one of South Africa's most breathtaking natural settings.
