Leopard Trail Hike 5 Day 4 Night - 17 November 2027

Immerse yourself in the rugged beauty of South Africa's Baviaanskloof on the Leopard Trail, a five-day adventure through one of the Cape Floral Region World Heritage Site’s most remote and pristine landscapes. The trail offers an intimate encounter with nature as it winds along hidden kloofs and dry riverbeds, ascends to high plateaus, and descends into lush fynbos-covered valleys between the Kouga and Baviaans mountains.
The journey is rich in solitude and silence, punctuated by sightings of leopard tracks that hint at the elusive presence of these majestic cats. Each day brings a new vista of towering peaks and expansive views, with distances ranging up to 19 kilometers, featuring steep climbs and descents on rocky paths. The terrain challenges even seasoned hikers but is manageable for those who are well-prepared.
Comfortably guided by experienced leaders, the hike includes all meals prepared at each campsite, allowing you to focus solely on enjoying the scenery and trails without carrying heavy loads beyond a daypack. Each night’s accommodation offers glamping tents with bunk beds, central kitchens, dining areas, braai spots, flush toilets, hot showers powered by solar or gas, and refreshing mountain-fed pools.
The adventure begins at Red Cliffs Farmhouse in Cedar Falls Base Camp on November 17, 2027, where you will spend a peaceful night before embarking on the hike. The cost of R12,000 per person includes all meals, accommodation, transfers from George Airport, and exclusive use of campsites throughout your stay.
This is an experience not to be missed for those seeking a blend of natural beauty, physical challenge, and serene relaxation in one of South Africa’s most untouched wilderness areas.
