This annual event is exclusively for men who are bold enough to swim a significant distance while proudly wearing the iconic Budgie Smuggler swimsuit – no wetsuits or traditional swimming attire allowed! Participants will gather at Swim Cape Town, where they'll be encouraged to ditch their inhibitions and embrace camaraderie in the name of mental health. The event aims to break down barriers around discussing emotional well-being by using the hashtag #checkyourbudgie to start conversations about men's mental health issues and encourage support among friends. Whether you're swimming solo or with a group, this unique race offers an opportunity for reflection and solidarity while enjoying spectacular coastal scenery in Cape Town.
