About the event
The Headwall Hustle is an exhilarating 15km trail run that forms part of the Elk Valley Ultra. This challenging segment takes runners through the scenic trails of Fernie Alpine Resort, offering breathtaking views and a test of endurance. The route starts with a climb up Timber Bowl to the iconic Headwall before traversing popular loops in the resort area. Runners will then face a steep descent back down towards the finish line.
Registration for this event requires participants to complete an online RCR Event Waiver prior to signing up, and it's essential that your waiver name matches your UltraSignup account details. The race weekend includes convenient check-in options on Friday or Saturday at Fernie Alpine Resort and Annex Park respectively. On Sunday, July 25th, the Headwall Hustle kicks off with a start time of 8am from Fernie Alpine Resort.
Participants can look forward to a swag bag filled with goodies like Stag Leap stickers and technical socks, as well as access to free race photography downloads and a fully stocked aid station along the route. The day concludes with a finish line brunch buffet and awards ceremony at noon for all categories—male, female, and non-binary runners.
