The Divide 200, set against the rugged backdrop of Canada's Rocky Mountains, invites seasoned ultramarathon runners to tackle one of North America’s most challenging courses on August 16, 2027. This grueling race weaves through the stunning Great Divide Trail in the Castle and Crowsnest region, offering a mix of single-track paths, double tracks, rough roads, cross-country terrain, bushwhacking, and scrambling.
Competitors will navigate varied landscapes, from alpine ridges to remote backcountry trails that test both physical endurance and mental resilience. The course features well-spaced checkpoints every 20 to 40 kilometers, where participants can restock on essentials like fresh hot meals and medical support. Each runner is equipped with a Garmin inReach satellite tracker for route finding and safety.
