Decade Dash

The 2026 Decade Dash is a community-focused 5K Fun Run and Walk organized by Central Mississippi REALTORS® (CMR). Scheduled for the evening of Thursday, May 7, 2026, the event invites participants to "run through the decades" along the scenic Madison Landing. All proceeds from the event benefit the CMR Cares Foundation, a local nonprofit organization dedicated to community improvement and support within the Central Mississippi region.

The race is professionally chip-timed and includes options for competitive runners, leisure walkers, and supporters who prefer to contribute without the physical race component.

The geography of the race is centered around Beethoven’s Boardwalk at Madison Landing Circle in Ridgeland, Mississippi. The route provides participants with views of the Ross Barnett Reservoir, a popular local destination for outdoor recreation. In early May, Ridgeland typically experiences warm, humid spring conditions with evening temperatures averaging around 24°C (75°F). Public parking is situated within walking distance of the start and finish lines at the boardwalk.

Logistically, the event offers a unique "0.0 Race" category, designed for individuals who wish to support the foundation and receive the commemorative t-shirt without participating in the run or walk. Participants who miss the online registration deadline can register on-site on the day of the race, though shirt availability is not guaranteed. Awards are presented following the conclusion of the timed 5K run. CMR provides professional coordination through their staff and volunteers to ensure a safe, vibrant atmosphere for all community members and real estate professionals involved.
