Chelmsford Marathon & Half Marathon

Join the vibrant racing community at Chelmsford's Marathon and Half Marathon on October 10, 2027. This award-winning race is celebrated for its scenic route through Central Park’s tree-lined avenues and rural Essex countryside, offering runners a challenging yet rewarding experience with undulating terrain.
Both distances are accurately measured courses that serve as excellent qualifiers for age-group achievements. The event village buzzes with energy, supported by enthusiastic marshals who cheer on participants throughout the race day. Runners can look forward to receiving a bespoke medal and enjoying well-appointed facilities post-race.
A key highlight is the partnership between Little Havens Children's Hospice and the Carli Lansley Foundation, which offers free heart screening for younger runners participating in this event. The race also supports vital fundraising efforts; by entering as a Havens Hero, you contribute directly to essential care at the hospice through an additional £16 donation.
With a six-hour cut-off time, participants can enjoy the autumn atmosphere and picturesque setting while making a meaningful impact on local communities.
