Springfield Striders Hobble 2026

Springfield Striders Hobble 2026, one of Essex's longest-running trail races, invites runners to explore diverse terrain across paths, tracks, and country lanes. This annual adventure offers two route options: a challenging 16-mile course for those aged over 18 and an accessible 6-mile option open to participants as young as 16.
The event is known for its unique self-navigation format. On race day, runners receive detailed written instructions rather than relying on markings or marshals along the way. Timing is conducted via a chip system at both start and finish points located at the Horse & Groom pub. Race HQ will be situated here as well, providing essential amenities including toilet facilities.
Entry fees are £9 for affiliated members and £11 for unaffiliated runners, with an additional 50p booking fee. Each participant receives a £4 voucher redeemable at the pub on race day to enjoy post-race refreshments or meals.

For those wishing to run alongside friends, multiple entries under a single name are permitted provided all required personal information is submitted for each runner by the entry deadline. No refunds will be issued except in cases where the race must be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances beyond organizers' control. Participants are encouraged to choose their preferred start time from a selection provided on the entry page.
