471e Demi-marathon de l'Acadie

Join us at the Piscine S.A. Dionne in Tracadie-Sheila, New Brunswick for the iconic 471e Demi-Marathon de L'Acadie on January 3, 2027. This event features a half marathon course of 21.1 kilometers and an optional shorter distance of 10.55 kilometers, both completed over two loops starting and ending at the same location.
Since its inception in 2026, this race has seen significant changes due to infrastructure closures but now offers runners a consistent route around Tracadie-Sheila’s scenic paths and roads. The half marathon is ideal for those looking to challenge themselves with a full distance course, while the shorter option provides an accessible entry point or training run.
Participants can choose between in-person participation on race day at 10 am or opt for a virtual version that allows runners to complete their chosen distance anywhere they prefer and submit results by noon Sunday. Early starters are available for those expecting longer completion times, with registration required before the previous evening's cutoff time of 6 pm.
The event culminates in awarding medals to the top three overall finishers as well as the first three females across both distances, fostering a sense of achievement and camaraderie among competitors. After crossing the finish line, runners are invited to enjoy refreshments at Piscine S.A. Dionne’s second floor dining area.
This race offers an engaging blend of community spirit and athletic challenge in a picturesque setting, making it a must-attend event for serious runners or those looking to experience something unique on their winter training schedule.
