Embark on an unforgettable multi-day ultra running adventure along the Cumbria Way in England's picturesque Lake District. This unique "Wild Journeys" experience offers participants a chance to explore iconic trails and immerse themselves in some of Britain’s most stunning natural landscapes, all while working together as a cohesive team. The journey kicks off early on Day 1 from Ulverston with an approximately 27-mile (48 km) trek that sets the stage for the entire route. This initial leg is designed to ease runners into the challenge with largely runnable terrain through open countryside and alongside Coniston Water, culminating in a dramatic finish in Langdale Valley. Day 2 takes you on a roughly 20-mile (32 km) journey from Great Langdale to Keswick. Starting with an early morning climb over Stake Pass, this stage offers breathtaking views of the Borrowdale Valley followed by a serene riverside run along Derwent Water into Keswick. The final day, around 26 miles (42 km), sees runners leaving Keswick and heading north through Skiddaw Forest to High Pike, the highest point on the Cumbria Way. The route then descends gently across rolling farmland before arriving in Carlisle for a well-deserved celebration of your achievements. Throughout this challenging yet rewarding adventure, you'll be guided by experienced host Matt Buck, ensuring that each day is not only scenic and demanding but also supportive and team-oriented. This isn't about racing against the clock; it's about pushing yourself alongside fellow runners to complete an epic journey through one of England’s most enchanting regions. Accommodation for all three nights will be provided in comfortable bunkhouses or similar facilities, allowing you to rest and recover between days of running while enjoying the camaraderie that comes with such a unique experience.
