About the Event

Join us for the final installment of the Autumn Series on December 16, 2026, as we head to Cartmel, known not only for its sticky toffee pudding but also for hosting big race weekends. This urban orienteering event offers both a Long and a Short course through town centre streets, residential roads, narrow ginnels, steps, cobbled paths, footpaths, and parkland.
Participants are encouraged to run in pairs or groups as it's an excellent way to get started with the sport of orienteering. To register multiple runners under one name, simply enter the primary runner’s details and add accompanying names along with their ages in the designated field on the registration form. Extra maps can be requested if needed.
For more information about this event and other upcoming races, visit the Lakeland Orienteering Club website at https://www.lakeland-orienteering.org.uk/events . All attendees must adhere to the 'Participation Codes of Conduct' as outlined by British Orienteering on their official site.
Newcomers are welcome but should note that non-members of British Orienteering will not be covered under the organization's public liability insurance for this event, and participation is at your own risk.
