Each day, you'll hike with only a light daypack while your luggage is transported ahead to your next accommodation, allowing for an immersive journey through ancient afro-montane forest, coastal thicket, fynbos, and pine plantations. The trail features spectacular river crossings and scenic waterfalls that highlight the natural beauty of this region.
This moderate-level hike covers 62 kilometers over five days with various overnight huts offering communal hot showers via a donkey boiler system. Suitable for those aged 12 to 65, it provides an exclusive experience tailored to nature enthusiasts who want comfort without sacrificing adventure. The best time to embark on this trek is from September to April when the weather is warmer and river crossings are safer.
