Durban is set to ignite with excitement as TINMAN 2027 returns along the iconic Golden Mile, South Africa’s longest-running triathlon series promising another thrilling round of swimming, cycling, and running. This year's edition features a variety of challenges for all levels: from the Sprint and Super Sprint Triathlons designed for seasoned athletes to the Mini Triathlon tailored for young participants aged 8 years and up. The event also includes the Challenge Triathlon with its longer distance options that cater to those seeking more endurance testing.
On November 7, 2027, competitors will enjoy ocean views while racing along scenic coastal routes, cheered on by enthusiastic crowds who have come out in force for this beloved tradition. Entry fees remain unchanged from last year, making it an accessible and affordable experience for both locals and visitors alike. Each participant receives a unique pair of Race SOX as well as reusable race numbers.
Registration takes place at the Suncoast Sundeck on Sunday morning (Race Day) between 5:45am to 7am. The event offers top-notch amenities such as full road closures during cycling segments, medical assistance and safety officers stationed throughout, swim lifeguards for water stages, and run marshals along running routes.
Upon crossing the finish line, participants can look forward to ice-cold aQuelle refreshments and memorable souvenirs like finisher medals. The day is packed with additional highlights including lucky draws, sponsored prizes, and awards for top three male and female winners in each race category.
