Glencairn Trail Run 2027

Glencairn Trail Run invites runners of all levels to explore the scenic beauty and rugged terrain of Southern Africa's Drakensberg mountains over a weekend filled with adventure and camaraderie. Participants can choose between two routes: the Glencairn Ram Run, covering approximately 18 kilometers each day for two days, or the more relaxed Glencairn Lamb Run at around 10 kilometers per day. The course winds through lush dairy pastures, dense forest trails, and alongside crystal-clear mountain rivers, offering breathtaking views of the majestic Drakensberg peaks.
Beyond the challenging yet rewarding runs, the event promises a vibrant atmosphere with live music, yoga sessions, delicious food options, and comfortable amenities like hot showers and flushing toilets. The race village is fully serviced, providing runners with everything from charging stations to an event bar for relaxation after each day’s run. For those opting for the full package, cozy tents complete with mattresses are provided for two nights of restful sleep.
