Hot Cocoa Run in the Park

Experience the magic of winter at the Sherwood Park Hot Cocoa Run, set for November 21st in Alberta, Canada. Participants will gather within this charming neighborhood known for its picturesque trails and warm-hearted atmosphere to kick off an exhilarating race morning. Temperatures are expected around -6°C with a chill that can make it feel even colder; however, the firm yet slightly soft trail conditions should provide comfortable running.
This event has been a beloved tradition since 2015, bringing together runners from Sherwood Park and surrounding areas in celebration of community and fun winter activities. Over two hundred participants will enjoy camaraderie with friends and family while warming up after their run with hot cocoa. The race layout includes notable features such as a small incline followed by an exhilarating downhill stretch to add variety.
Weather conditions on the morning of the event are expected to be brisk, ranging between -5.7°C and 0.7°C, making for a chilly yet manageable environment. Humidity levels at around 75% might make the air feel heavier, but there's little chance of precipitation with only 0.4mm of snowfall predicted.
Two distances are offered: the Cocoa Dash 5K, priced at CA$39.79 and limited to just 150 spots remaining; and the Mini Marshmallow 1K for those seeking a shorter distance, costing only CA$18.24 with 25 places still available. Both races will start simultaneously at 11:00 AM.
