Nestled within Chopwell Wood's expansive 360-hectare mixed woodland near Rowlands Gill in Gateshead, this scenic setting offers a perfect backdrop for both experienced and casual runners.
Participants can choose from three routes: a challenging 5-mile lap, a more extensive 10-mile course, or the longest option at 15 miles. The event is also Canicross-friendly, allowing runners to bring one controlled dog along for an added layer of companionship.
Registration begins promptly at 5:00 PM, giving participants ample time before sunset to enjoy the woodland scenery under the warm summer evening light. Live chip timing provided by Timing Up North ensures accurate results and adds a competitive edge to the event.
