The 5K Foam Fest - Sydney 2026

The 5K Foam Fun Run – Sydney 2026 revives its vibrant tradition on December 5th at Horsley Park in New South Wales. This unique obstacle course race is beloved for bringing together participants of all ages and abilities, creating an exhilarating day filled with fun and community spirit.
Race morning begins as the sun rises over picturesque park paths, setting a lively tone from the start. Families gather to enjoy the festivities, enhanced by music played through strategically placed speakers across the grounds. The course spans 25 diverse obstacles, including the world's largest inflatable waterslide and multiple mud pits, all blanketed in over two million cubic feet of foam.
This year’s event honors its past with a community-focused mission, supporting various local causes since it first began several years ago with just a handful of runners. The terrain offers varied challenges: smooth park paths transition into uneven muddy trails leading to climbing walls and balance beams. This layout ensures an engaging mix of running and walking, catering to all paces.
On the day of the race, runners will find several aid stations along their path for water and refreshments. A dedicated kids zone entertains children aged 6 and under while parents participate or spectate comfortably. The weather forecast predicts a mild temperature of approximately 23.9°C with humidity levels around 65.7%, providing ideal conditions.
