The 2027 Tholthorpe 10k

The Tholthorpe 10k returns on Sunday, September 5, 2027, marking its 31st anniversary as one of North Yorkshire's beloved running events. Starting and finishing alongside the picturesque village pond, this race offers a scenic route through quiet country roads that cater to all levels of runners. Over the years, it has become an essential fixture on many local clubs' calendars and attracts both beginners and seasoned athletes alike.
The course is flat and manageable, with a drink station conveniently placed at the 7k mark to keep participants hydrated throughout their run. The race atmosphere is lively and supportive, with homemade cakes, sandwiches, tea, coffee, and other refreshments available in the village hall for runners and spectators after the event. Prize-giving takes place on the village green around 12:30 pm.
Participants are encouraged to bring family members or friends along to cheer them on as they race through this charming Yorkshire countryside setting. The event is organized under UKA rules, with strict guidelines in place regarding earphones and wheelchairs/buggies due to safety concerns.
Proceeds from the Tholthorpe 10k will support ongoing renovations at the village hall, a vital community space that has seen significant updates over recent years thanks to generous donations. This year's event promises an enjoyable day out for runners of all abilities and is set against the backdrop of stunning North Yorkshire landscapes.
Registration closes once entries are full, so be sure to secure your spot early if you wish to take part in this memorable race on September 5th.
