Swim - Preese Hall (30/11)

Set against the tranquil backdrop of rural Fylde, Preese Hall Farm offers an idyllic setting for swimmers looking to embrace nature. The venue's centerpiece is its serene lake, where participants can enjoy a refreshing dip that’s chest-deep most areas and safe thanks to regular water testing by the farm owners.
The left side of the lake becomes shallow near the bank, while the far right remains slightly deeper—making it an ideal spot for those who prefer varied depths. Wetsuits are optional here, but tow floats are mandatory for added safety; bright-colored hats are recommended for better visibility and warmth during colder months.
Post-swim amenities include a cozy log burner in the gun room adjacent to the toilets—a perfect place to warm up after your swim on chilly winter days. Swimmers often head to Woody’s Café at Koi Pool Water Gardens, located nearby, for post-session refreshments and conversation.
Changing facilities are available both outdoors near vehicles or inside the gun room where hot drinks can be enjoyed. Supervision and safety provisions ensure a secure environment throughout the session.
To reach Preese Hall Farm from Lytham, take the first left before entering the Army Camp; from Wyre direction, it’s the first right after the main barracks gate. Secure entry requires a code for access to parking areas within the courtyard or on the left side.
For those using public transport, buses 76 and 75 provide nearby stops with walking distances noted for careful navigation. Participants are encouraged to check social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram for updates and reviews from fellow swimmers who have enjoyed their experience here.

Participants are reminded to respect the working farm environment by not bringing dogs along. Hot drinks and tow floats can be brought from home if needed; additional supervision is provided during swims.
