Swellendam Trail Run

The Swellendam Trail Run welcomes runners of all levels on June 5, 2027, offering routes that wind through the scenic Western Cape countryside. Early bird entries are available until November 31, 2026, and come with a complimentary pair of race socks for participants.
Runners can choose from three trail run distances: an 11km route, a challenging 20km course, and a new addition this year—a 30km trek. Each distance features water stations along the way to keep runners hydrated as they navigate potentially muddy terrain. The event uses electronic timing by Mobi Elite Timing for accurate results.
The race day starts early with buses leaving Swellendam Show Grounds at 8:00 AM and 8:20 AM for the 30km and 11/20km routes, respectively. Number collection is available on Friday from 5 to 7 PM or Saturday morning before the start.
The day’s festivities culminate with prize giving in the showground hall at 11:30 AM, where awards are presented not only for first-place finishers but also to the best junior boy and girl overall. Participants can look forward to racing alongside stunning views of rolling hills and lush landscapes as they push their limits on these challenging trails.
