SROC Autumn Series 3 Beacon Fell

Embark on an exhilarating adventure through Beacon Fell Country Park at the Orienteering Challenge on November 21, 2026. This scenic race offers courses for all skill levels, from beginners to seasoned orienteers. Navigate through varied terrain including well-marked paths and dense forests, ensuring a challenging yet rewarding experience.
Pre-registration is recommended but limited entries will be available on the day if maps are still in stock. Entry fees range from £4 for juniors (under 21) to £8 for non-member adults, with discounts for members and SROC junior members who enter free of charge.
Choose between an easy course suitable for families or a more demanding route designed for experienced orienteers. The Score event challenges participants to visit as many controls as possible within 60 minutes while maximizing their points before the time penalty kicks in.
The race takes place near Beacon Fell Country Park's visitor center, where parking is available for £1.20 per vehicle via the Ringo app. Start times vary between 12:30 and 13:30 PM, with all courses concluding by 3:00 PM. Post-race results will be posted on www.sroc.org later that evening.
Remember to bring a watch for timing events and consider borrowing an SI-Card if you don't have one already. Stay safe during your run and adhere to park etiquette when sharing paths with other visitors.
