Swim - Wyresdale Park (13/11)

About the Event

Welcome to Wyresdale Park, where nature and swimming come together for an unforgettable aquatic adventure. Nestled along tranquil Snowhill Lane, this picturesque venue offers serene surroundings for swimmers of all levels.
Upon arrival at the jetty, leave your belongings on designated storage boxes or hooks if it's raining. A friendly staff member will greet you here to provide any necessary instructions and issue tow floats which are compulsory for safety reasons. Wetsuits can be hired by prior request but aren’t available on-site during your visit.
The lake is dotted with buoys that mark a 400-meter circuit, allowing swimmers to complete multiple laps if desired. Please avoid swimming between blue buoys and the shore as this area contains shallow ground used for fishing and could pose hazards like tangled lines.
Facilities include parking near the Applestore Café where you'll find toilets both outside behind the café and inside a building nearby. Changing facilities are not provided, so please arrive in swimwear or change at your vehicle before heading to the water’s edge.
For those traveling by car, follow signs from Preston via Gubberford Lane or Lancaster along Station Lane until Snowhill Lane for easy access. Bus options include Stagecoach 40 from Preston Station, taking approximately 45 minutes and stopping near Cabus Gubberford Lane.
Stay connected with Attitude Swim Coaching on Facebook and Instagram to learn more about upcoming events and share your experience at Wyresdale Swims.
