Selkirk Slacker 12hr Ultra Trail Run & Relay

Join us for an unforgettable adventure at the 4th annual Selkirk Slackers Ultra & Relay on May 15, 2027. This community-focused trail race offers flexibility and fun, allowing participants to choose their distance based on personal preference—whether you're a seasoned ultra runner or new to trail events.
The course features an approximately 6.2 km loop with around 146 meters of ascent and 152 meters of descent. For the first time in 2027, runners will experience this challenging terrain from a fresh perspective as we switch directions for the event. Participants can opt for either a 12-hour or an 8-hour race period, starting at 7:00 AM and 11:00 AM respectively.
The race day atmosphere is lively with plenty of support options available at Keith King Memorial Park, including timing services, aid stations, and team transition areas. Runners are encouraged to create their own base camps in the Start/Finish area, complete with comfy chairs, banners, cowbells, and snacks for a personalized experience.
For those traveling from afar, camping is conveniently located at the Golden Municipal Campground just steps away from Keith King Memorial Park. The event welcomes families too; children must be supervised on course and can participate in team loops under adult guidance.
The Selkirk Slackers Ultra & Relay celebrates community spirit with eco-friendly practices and volunteer support. Whether you're aiming for personal bests or simply enjoying the scenic trails, this race offers an inclusive environment where everyone is welcome to make their day memorable.
