Canmore #1 2027

Experience one of Canada's premier trail running events at Canmore Nordic Centre, nestled amidst Alberta’s breathtaking Rocky Mountains. The 5 Peaks Trail Run offers runners and hikers an unforgettable journey through diverse terrain, from challenging hill climbs to smooth singletrack trails that wind through pristine wilderness.
On June 5, 2027, participants will gather early in the morning at Canmore Nordic Centre for a day filled with excitement and scenic beauty. The event features distances suitable for all ages and abilities: kids can join either a 1 km or 3 km race (the latter being free), while adults have options ranging from 7.1 km to an endurance-challenging 16.1 km trek.
The atmosphere at the start/finish line is electric, with DJs setting the tone for what promises to be a memorable day of athletic achievement and camaraderie. The course itself offers stunning mountain vistas at every turn, along with technical challenges that will test even the most seasoned runners.
Participants should note the requirement to carry bear spray during their run or hike as per Canmore Nordic Centre policy. Additionally, this is a cup-free event; bring your own hydration vessel for longer excursions beyond an hour’s duration.
