Priestley Clough 5 Mile Trail Race

On Tuesday, June 8, 2027, runners are invited to explore the natural beauty of Priestley Clough with the annual Trail Race. This scenic trail run features a challenging yet rewarding 5-mile course that winds through lush woodlands and picturesque countryside near Accrington.
The race starts at Baxenden Village Club on Manchester Road in Lancashire, offering participants stunning views from the moment they set off until their return to the club for the finish line festivities. The senior event kicks off at 7:30 PM, providing a unique evening running experience under the twilight sky.
For younger runners, there's also an exciting Junior 2k race starting at 7:00 PM, designed specifically for U10, U12, U14, and U16 age groups. With a minimum entry requirement of eight years old by April 13, 2027, this event is perfect for introducing young athletes to the thrill of trail running.
The Priestley Clough Trail Race is part of the broader Accrington Fell & Trail Series, where runners can accumulate points across multiple races throughout the year. For those participating in the senior race, their best nine results from thirteen total events will contribute towards an overall series ranking. Similarly, junior participants aim to achieve their highest four scores out of six scheduled Junior 2k races.
Entry fees for juniors are £3 and must be paid on-site at Baxenden Village Club before the start time. The senior race can also be entered independently by visiting the event page online or registering directly with the club prior to June 8th.
