About the event
Experience breathtaking ocean views and challenging terrain as you run through Point Mugu State Park on April 10, 2027. The Springtime Half-Marathon & 10k are the third events of SoCalTrail's "Trail ½ Series," offering both distance options from the Ray Miller Trailhead in La Jolla Canyon.
The half-marathon course features a steep ascent over three miles with stunning ocean vistas, followed by a speedy descent along Sycamore Canyon. The final leg challenges runners with an intense climb on Fireline Trail before descending to the finish line at Ray Miller Trail. Meanwhile, the 10k route turns around atop Fireline for a shorter but equally scenic journey.
Participants will enjoy unique finisher medals and complimentary race photography included in their entry fee. Post-race festivities include a vegan-friendly taco breakfast, sports massage treatments, and a lively beer garden (21+). The event concludes with an awards ceremony celebrating age group winners and overall series champions who can earn SoCalTrail season passes or cash prizes.
Aid stations along the route provide essential hydration and medical support to ensure runners have everything they need for this fast-paced trail race. Don't miss out on this exhilarating run through Point Mugu's natural beauty!
