Experience the joyous spirit of Thanksgiving morning at the Five07 Turkey Day Dash, set to take place on November 26, 2026, at California Lutheran University. This annual race offers runners and walkers an opportunity to kick off their holiday festivities with a scenic run through Thousand Oaks. The event features two options: a timed 5K road race starting at 8:30 AM, and an untimed Zack Zernik Mile Run/Walk beginning at 8:00 AM. Participants can choose either the longer endurance challenge or opt for the more relaxed mile option that suits their fitness level. Families are encouraged to join in on this festive occasion as children under three years old receive free entry without needing to register. Additional t-shirts may be purchased separately for these young participants, ensuring everyone is decked out in race gear. The Five07 Turkey Day Dash also doubles as a charitable event with all proceeds going towards supporting local organizations such as Hospice of the Conejo, Kiwanis Club of Thousand Oaks Foundation, and Scouting America Ventura County. Early bird discounts are available until August 17th for those who register early to secure their spot. In addition to the races themselves, attendees can look forward to enjoying live music, engaging in costume contests, and exploring vendor booths while contributing towards a meaningful cause. Families registering together also enjoy a $10 discount per person when signing up as a group, making it an affordable option for everyone involved. To ensure you receive your commemorative race t-shirt, remember to register by noon on November 24th. Race-day registration is not available, so be sure to sign up ahead of time and mark the event in your calendar now! Whether you're looking to challenge yourself with a longer distance or prefer a more leisurely pace, this family-friendly gathering promises an unforgettable Conejo Valley tradition filled with community spirit and goodwill. Join us for a day full of fun, fitness, and giving back. Sign up today and be part of the Five07 Turkey Day Dash!
