Experience the vibrant evening atmosphere of Piglove By The River as you lace up for our summer race on Tuesday, July 28th. Nestled within Citu’s Climate Innovation District, this picturesque venue offers runners not just an enjoyable course but also a chance to unwind with craft beers from Piglove Brewing Co.
### Race Details
The event kicks off at 19:00 after registration opens at 18:00, welcoming up to 150 participants. With a minimum age requirement of 18, this race promises an adult-friendly environment complete with all the amenities you need for a stress-free experience.
### Course Description
#### 5km Route:
Starting from Piglove By The River on Clarence Rd in Leeds LS10 1EE, runners will follow the scenic Trans Pennine Trail. This flat and fast course covers 2.5 kilometers before turning back at Thwaite Mills. Enjoy smooth footpath conditions that make for a swift journey along this well-maintained route.
#### 10km Route:
For those looking to extend their run, the 10-kilometer option follows the same initial path but continues past Thwaite Mills and into slightly more varied terrain near the riverbank. While largely flat, runners will encounter one small bridge with steps en route—a minor challenge amidst otherwise ideal running conditions.
Both turnaround points are clearly marked and staffed by volunteers to ensure a smooth race day experience.
### Facilities
Race HQ offers essential facilities including toilets and bag storage, ensuring that all participants have everything they need right at the start line.
### Inclusions
All finishers will receive a complimentary drink from Piglove Brewery as part of their race package. Medals and t-shirts are available for purchase upon entry to keep your costs down while reducing environmental impact.
### Mandatory Kit
While headtorches may be required later in the year for our "By Night" event, they're not necessary this summer. However, we always recommend checking back closer to the date if conditions change.
