PHOENIX - Wiltshire - Very Merry Pudding Run

Step into Coate Water Country Park on December 13, 2026 for an enchanting Christmas-themed running experience: The Very Merry Pudding Run. This festive adventure offers runners the freedom to complete as many laps of the scenic 5.25km loop around Coate Water Lake and through its woodland trails as they wish, with no pressure or set distance requirements.
The course winds along well-maintained gravel paths and tarmac roads, featuring a signature ascent up Swindon's iconic "Wurly" Bridge—a Brutalist concrete spiral footbridge that soars over the M4 motorway. This unique feature is not only visually striking but also an exhilarating highlight of the route, offering panoramic views and opportunities for mid-race high-fives.
Participants can expect a mix of flat terrain with gentle undulations, making it suitable for runners of all abilities. The event starts between 7:30 am and 8:30 am, allowing ample daylight or head torch illumination during winter months to enjoy the park's serene surroundings.
One of the standout features is the legendary Phoenix Aid Station located at the start/finish line every lap, ensuring no runner goes without a well-deserved break with special dietary options available. The event culminates in an exclusive prize: a handcrafted oak medal individually cut and engraved, complete with hidden cash inside for added holiday cheer.
Join fellow runners for this unique blend of fitness challenge and seasonal celebration at Coate Water Country Park on December 13th, where every finisher is rewarded with one-of-a-kind memories and souvenirs.
