PHOENIX - Manchester - Simon's Herculean Task

About the Event

Join us on March 6, 2027, for an unforgettable celebration of Simon Lister's remarkable achievement: his 100th marathon. This unique and inclusive event takes place along the picturesque River Mersey at Chorlton Water Park in Hardy Farm. Participants will enjoy a flat, fast trail loop that winds through scenic towpaths alongside the river. The course is perfect for runners, walkers, joggers, hikers, and everyone in between.
The day promises to be filled with camaraderie as enthusiastic marshals cheer on every finisher along the 2.91-mile lap route. With an all-day aid station brimming with vegetarian options—plus vegan and gluten-free choices—you’ll find plenty of sustenance throughout your journey. The event also features a special bespoke medal for each participant, no matter how many laps you complete.
Whether you’re looking to tackle multiple loops or simply enjoy one satisfying lap, this race offers flexibility and fun in equal measure. Don’t forget the cake; it’s an essential part of reaching such a milestone! Arrive anytime between 8:30 am and 10:30 am for a day full of celebration and support from fellow runners.
For those who need additional parking options, there are spaces available at Hardy Farm on a first-come, first-served basis. Additional spots can be found across the river at Sale Water Park (a short walk to the start line), or you might consider using public pay-and-display parking around Chorlton Water Park.
Experience the joy and spirit of this special event as we honor Simon’s incredible marathon milestone together.
Join us for a day filled with community, celebration, and personal challenges on March 6, 2027.
