Polar (Winter) Swim: D9, Quays (19/12)

Dive into the heart of Salford Quays at Dock 9 for Uswim’s annual POLAR (WINTER) SWIMS, an invigorating tradition that has been embraced by cold-water enthusiasts for over ten years. This winter swim promises to be a thrilling experience, guaranteed to leave you energized and uplifted.
The benefits of plunging into chilly waters are well-documented: from boosting your immune system to enhancing mental clarity and mood. Join fellow swimmers who come not just for the physical challenge but also to savor the unique buzz that comes with braving the elements.
Safety is paramount, so all participants must use a towfloat and wear at least one swim cap; proficiency in swimming is essential as well. Wetsuits are available for hire on-site or you can opt to go skin diving if you prefer the raw experience of open water without additional gear.
Once your aquatic adventure concludes, warm up with complimentary hot drinks and cakes provided by Uswim. The event takes place between 11-12pm sharp, ensuring that all participants have a chance to register well before their swim time.
Entry fees are £15 for adults and £10 for those under the age of 16, payable on the day at Dock 9. With water safety personnel present throughout, this event offers both an invigorating challenge and peace of mind.
