Cardio before Cupid invites runners of all abilities to lace up their shoes for an unforgettable journey along the picturesque River Mersey at Chorlton Water Park. Whether you're aiming for a quick 5km or pushing yourself through multiple laps over seven hours, this event offers flexibility and freedom. The race takes place in Hardy Farm (M21 8FE), where participants can register from 7:30 am on the day of the event. The main running window is between 8:30 am and 3:30 pm, giving ample time to explore your limits along the scenic riverside towpath. The terrain here is flat with very little elevation change, making it an ideal setting for runners looking to achieve fast times or simply enjoy a leisurely jog. The route winds through lush greenery and alongside tranquil waters, offering stunning views throughout each lap. A well-stocked aid station awaits at the heart of Hardy Farm, catering to various dietary needs including vegetarian options with many vegan items and gluten-free choices like bananas, dates, jelly sweets, crisps, cake, squash, and full sugar cola. Participants are advised to bring their own food if they have severe allergies due to potential cross-contamination risks. Toilets and changing facilities are conveniently located at Race HQ for your convenience. On-site parking is available for 75 cars on a first-come-first-served basis; additional spaces can be found across the river at Sale Water Park, just a short walk from the start line. Public and paid parking options also abound around Chorlton Water Park. A race brief will be sent out to all participants one week before the event, outlining essential details such as safety guidelines and course information. This is mandatory reading for everyone involved. Join us in celebrating movement and community spirit with Cardio before Cupid – a day filled with scenic beauty, personal challenges, and camaraderie. All runners are encouraged to arrive early to familiarize themselves with the layout of Hardy Farm and take advantage of the serene setting that awaits them. This event is not just about racing; it's an opportunity for every participant to experience the joy and freedom of running along one of England’s most charming waterways, all while supporting a chosen charity (to be announced).

About Manchester
Learn more about the host city, Manchester.
Manchester is a vibrant, post-industrial gem at the heart of North West England. The city that used to be nicknamed 'Cottonopolis' has hung up its clogs and, thanks to successive regeneration projects, is now a major centre for culture and commerce; seen by many as the capital of the north of England, and sometimes regarded as England's second city.
