Oriflamme

On April 10, 2027, runners will gather at the Sunrise Trailhead parking area to embark on an unforgettable journey along the Pacific Crest Trail. The race begins with a scenic out-and-back course that offers breathtaking views of the desert sunrise as participants start their descent into Mason Valley Truck Trail.
The route then takes runners down Oriflamme Canyon, where they experience a dramatic 2,000-foot drop before transitioning onto the California Riding & Hiking Trail. Crossing S2 and navigating through Box Canyon's stunning desert scenery, racers will reach Blair Valley for the turnaround point. The second half of the race challenges participants with a grueling climb back up Oriflamme Canyon over five miles.
With a 9-hour time limit, this 50K run offers a mix of single-track trails and rugged terrain that tests endurance and resilience. Early starters can enjoy additional sightseeing before dawn as they prepare for an epic adventure through the desert landscape.
The event promises to be both visually stunning and physically demanding, making it a must-attend experience for trail runners seeking a unique challenge in one of nature's most captivating settings.
