Morning After Fell Race

The Morning After Race returns as a beloved Shropshire tradition. This challenging yet accessible 8km circuit winds through Carding Mill Valley and the northern reaches of Long Mynd, offering runners both scenic beauty and varied terrain. Ideal for seasoned fell runners looking to test their skills in winter conditions, it also welcomes newcomers with clear marking and manageable difficulty.
Participants should park responsibly at Church Stretton (SY6 6BX) and consider carpooling to reduce traffic congestion. The race starts promptly at 11:00 AM, followed by post-race prizes for various age categories and a special award for the first local runner from designated villages. A warm soup and roll are included with entry fees.
The event is strictly a fell race; no separate walking category will be offered this year. Limited on-site entries may still be available to those who weren't able to pre-register.
Enjoy the crisp winter air, stunning vistas, and lively atmosphere of this classic Shropshire event.
